Nicole Grajewski is a doctoral candidate in International Relations at the University of Oxford where she researches Russian ideas and debates about international order as well as the place of Iran within Russian foreign policy thinking. Her research interests include Russia-Iran relations, Russian approaches to international law and regional security, Russian foreign policy in Central Asia and the Middle East, as well as Iran’s relations with the Central Asian states. She holds an MPhil in Russia and East European Studies from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in International Affairs, Security Policy and Middle Eastern Studies from the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. Prior to Oxford, Nicole worked for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental Scientific Affairs, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS, State of the Union, and Inside Politics, and the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis. She has conducted fieldwork in Cyprus, Israel, Kazakhstan, and Russia and speaks English, French, Persian (Farsi & Tajik), and Russian.
