A great excuse to wear a kilt
Every week, we run regular classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and every other Thursday, but there are also a number of other Scottish dancing-related events happening in the area! Many of these are run outside the OUSDS – these are marked with a . Click the image for a link to the Facebook page with more details and to see who else is going. There are also events happening outside term-time, so keep an eye out on the list and in the emails.
Celebrate the end of 5th week with OUSDS! We are hosting a ceilidh
in the Arco Basement in Keble College. Open to all, no experience
required! All dances will be walked through and called.

Tickets are £3 for students and OUSDS members, £3.50 otherwise.
This is a very good course. Morning and afternoon classes and an
evening dance. The classes have excellent teachers and musicians.

The annual event hosted alternately by OUSDS and our Cambridge
equivalents. This year it's in Oxford.
We have an excellent young and lively band in Luke Brady's Scottish Dance Band, featuring former OUSDS president Lindsey Ibbotsen.
Tickets £12.50 students/£17.50 others, including supper (and a great dessert buffet).

Dancing a selection of the Abingdon Ball program to be held the following Saturday. All dances will be walked through. This will be excellent preparation for the Ball or just a fun afternoon otherwise. More details from the website.
This will be a very jolly evening. We'll dance the dances we've been learning in the Tuesday classes this term.

Abingdon's annual ball. Lots of fun dances, and always very friendly and welcoming. Although at the end of 8th week, there will probably be a few OUSDS members going. Lifts will probably be available - ask in class if you're interested. More information from the website.
A weekend for 16-35-year-olds that starts with an easy social dance
Friday night, classes (beginners to very advanced) Saturday
morning, optional classes in Highland/Birling/Ladies' Step in the
afternoon, dance in the evening and Sunday morning will have
judging for the Spring Fling new dance competition. All classes
and dances have live music, and it's a very friendly atmosphere.
This is very close, and there should be lots of OUSDS people going.

The cost is £130 for a non-RSCDS member in a 3-bed room, £145 for a non-member in a 2-bed room; less if you are an RSCDS member or non-resident.
