Enjoying Reels, Jigs, Strathspeys and Ceilidhs all year round
Every week, we run regular classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and every other Thursday, but there are also a number of other Scottish dancing-related events happening in the area! Many of these are run outside the OUSDS – these are marked with a . Click the image for a link to the Facebook page with more details and to see who else is going. There are also events happening outside term-time, so keep an eye out on the list and in the emails.
The London Branch of the RSCDS organizes open air dancing (for free!) in Kensington Gardens on Saturday afternoons in August. This is basically ceilidh dancing, designed for non-dancers, and very accessible. It is a lovely setting and a fun occasion. No refreshments are provided but you can bring your own.
This will be a jolly start to the dancing year. Helen will be taking us through the dances: walking them through and calling them. No experience needed. Light-weight shoes/pumps/trainers recommended.
Open to all, not just freshers.
There will be cake!
Craigellachie will be playing and it will be a great evening.
Music by Luke Brady's Scottish Dance Band.
