Dr. Ana Namburete is a Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and an Associate Research Fellow at St. Hilda's College (Oxford). She is the Principal Investigator of the Ultrasound NeuroImage Analysis Group.
She studied Biomedical Engineering at Simon Fraser University (Canada) and completed a DPhil in Engineering Science at Oxford with support from a Commonwealth Scholarship. In 2016, Dr. Namburete was awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship to pursue machine learning-based methods for analysing neurosonographic data, at which time she started the Ultrasound NeuroImage Analysis Group.
