An evening of acting, party games and improvisation, with apologies to the TV program Whose Line Is It Anyway?

2nd Week - Friday 28th January - PANCAKE PARTY & AGM

Maria and Nicholay's flat - 8pm

Pancake party plus a very brief Annual General Meeting. Some committee posts will be falling vacant, volunteers wanted.

3rd Week - Thursday 3rd February - QUIZ PREPARATION

Christ Church LR2 - 8pm

Informal teams will be put together on the night, all welcome to participate. This is a non-serious quiz, but those who show too much knowledge may be selected for the team to go and play against Cambridge - see below!

3rd Week - Friday 4th February - DRAMATIC READING

Christ Church LR2 - 8pm

Our own versions of some favourite Tolkien scenes, rehearsed and read aloud on the night. All are invited to participate!

4th Week - Friday 11th February - BANQUET PREPARATION

Come along and learn the dances and folklore for the following night's banquet...

An evening of stunning food and even more stunning conversation and dance. You are welcome to come in Tolkienesque costume! Places must be booked in advance, details to be announced.

Quiz trip to Cambridge. All welcome to come and cheer on our team, we need to avenge last year's defeat!

6th Week - Friday 25th February - STEPHEN BRIGGS

The famously successful adapter of Terry Pratchett's works for the stage tells us how he does it.

7th Week - Friday 4th March - TOLKIEN PASTICHE

Christ Church LR2 - 8pm

Can we write as well as Tolkien? Er, well, probably not, but we can try! A creative writing class with an unusual twist.

7th Week - Saturday 5th March - CHEDDAR GORGE TRIP

Meeting place to be confirmed - 8am

Our termly trip will be to Cheddar Gorge to visit the caves there, and we shall be stopping off at the beautiful city of Bath as well.

8th Week - Friday 12th March - VIDEO NIGHT

We always plan additional meetings as the term progresses, and this term we plan to have a trip to see Stephen Briggs' new play, 'Going Postal' and we hope to compete at laserquest against other Oxford societies
