This website contains information about a project, run under the auspices of the EU Framework 6 Network of Excellence, EQUALSOC, investigating the primary and secondary effects of social origin on educational attainment. The project brings together researchers from across Europe and the U.S., studying educational inequality in Denmark, England&Wales, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the U.S. More information about the project and participants can be found under the ‘Project Description’ and ‘Countries’ headings.
