Wiekie Kollen is currently employed (since 1983) as a software engineer in the computer data systems department at the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR) in the Netherlands. Up until February 1983 he worked as a member of the ground checkout team of the infrared astronomical satellite (IRAS), a joint USA, Great-Britain and Dutch project.
