VCRPlus programs

Here are some programs that were posted to alt.sources on 31 December 1992. They are written in C and have been compressed using gzip. The decoder appears to have been transcribed into C from algorithms described in a paper by Ken Shirriff, Curt Welch and Andy Kinsman. Please note that VCRPlus is the American system.

Decoder (program that takes a code number and tells you the program details).
Encoder (program that takes the program details and tells you a code number).
Some buggy browsers for Windows don't transfer the above properly, so this zip file of the above might be useful. Use "unzip -a" to translate the line-ends properly.

Note: I did not write these programs. The original author's name seems to have been separated from the source code at some point.
