XeSyriac

The XeSyriac (/ziːˈsɪɹiːæk/) package provides a means for typesetting documents in Syriac, or with some Syriac content, using XeLaTeX. It relies heavily on François Charette’s polyglossia package to provide multilingual typesetting, Vafa Khalighi’s (وفا خليقى) bidi package for bidirectionality, Will Robertson’s fontspec package for font handling, and, ultimately, on Jonathan Kew’s XeTeX engine.

Package contents and download

xesyriac.tds.zip — the self-installing TDS package. This should be unpacked at the top level of the TEXMF tree.
xesyriac.zip — the entire package, flat packed. Once unpacked, the files should be placed as indicated below.

xesyriac.sty — the package code. This file is read by XeLaTeX whenever XeSyriac is loaded, and is vital for its operation. This should be placed in <TEXMF>/tex/xelatex/xesyriac/.
xesyriac.pdf — the package documentation in PDF format. This should be placed in <TEXMF>/doc/xelatex/xesyriac/.
README — the plain-text abstract and package manifest. This should also be placed in <TEXMF>/doc/xelatex/xesyriac/.
xesyriac.dtx — the bundled source of code and documentation. Running XeLaTeX on this file will rebuild the PDF documentation. This should be placed in <TEXMF>/source/xelatex/xesyriac/.
xesyriac.ins — the package installation file. Running TeX on this file will extract a new copy of xesyriac.sty from xesyriac.dtx. This also should be placed in <TEXMF>/source/xelatex/xesyriac/.
