I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of Oxford, graduating from the Master of Physics degree program in 2018. In my final year I focussed on Biological Physics and Applied Maths as I became interested in how techniques from the physical sciences could be applied to explore biological systems.
From January - April 2019 I will join Professor Sarah Waters' group to complete a short project. I will be working on mathematical modelling of cell seeding and mechanical loading experienced by cells in humanoid robotic bioreactors currently under development by Professor Pierre Mouthuy .
I completed a summer research project and MPhys project with the Kapanidis group in Biophysics. Here I completed experimental and computational work investigating fluorescent detection of single virus particles.
(In Preparation) Rapid fluorescent detection of enveloped viruses via a novel calcium-mediated interaction with DNA.
