I am based at the Academic IT Services University of Oxford and work on different projects and services, such as Europeana 1914-1918, Great Writers Inspire, RunCoCo , What's the Score at the Bodleian?, OpenSpires, British National Corpus, Oxford Text Archive, OUCS web team and Intute: Arts and Humanities.

I am a member of the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology & Phonetics, and also teach for the Department of English

My research so far has been primarily corpus-based. It involves studies on expressions of future in English and work relating to learner language.

My teaching includes courses in corpus linguistics and the use of corpora and corpus tools for language learning. I have also given courses on finding and using online resources.

I run training and coaching sessions on different aspects of community collection, in particular using the Oxford Community Collection Model.
