Khan Maola is working as a postdoctoral scientist in the University of Oxford, UK. His current research interest is to develop methods for site selective protein modification. Previously he worked as a scientist in École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL, Switzerland with Prof. Christian Heinis and developed bicyclic peptide against therapeutic target. He received his PhD under supervision of Prof. Hiroyuki Osada on Chemical Biology from RIKEN, Japan. During his PhD, he discovered a natural product inhibitor, juniferdin, against protein disulphide isomerase. He graduated on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
