City's women making waves

The National Schools Regatta, the Summer Eights, and international rowing competitions have overshadowed City of Oxford's recent form, writes Mike Rosewell.
But their achievements have been considerable.
The City women are in particularly fine fettle.
AT Monmouth on May 30, they entered eight events and won all of them.
The scullers took the senior 3 quads, the senior 2 and senior 4 doubles, and the senior 3 singles.
The rowers also did their bit, winning the senior 3 eights, senior 1 coxless fours, senior 3 coxed fours and the senior 2 coxless pairs.
There is certainly strength in depth here as the Henley Women's Regatta (June 18-20) looms large..
City's men have been less prolific, but they have still won pots.
AT Monmouth, Gavin Allinson and Steve Hodbod won the senior 4 and senior 3 singles respectively on the Saturday, before linking up in a coxless pair to win the senior 1 class on Sunday.
The men also won the senior 2 pairs and senior 4 coxed fours on Sunday.
