SportsFed have switched over to a new system. This now means that we no longer require your OU Sport Member ID and instead require the email you sign up with to be the one you are registered with SportsFed with.

Sign up to SportsFed first here and then click the Login button at the top. If you have an SSO then sign up with an SSO and then use your university email later in the form.

Once you have created an account with SportsFed then you need to apply to become a member of the OUMC by clicking your profile in the top right. Then click on "My Profile". Then scroll down until you see "Join Club", then type in "OU Mountaineering and Climbing Club". Then click Save. You should then receive an email saying that you have requested to become a member of the OUMC.

Then return to this form and fill it out and then follow the payment instructions after clicking submit.

Section 2: Declaration

(1) I recognize that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. I am aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for my own actions and involvement.

(2) I agree to read and follow the OUMC Procedures, safety advice in the Club's risk assessment and BMC insurance information, all three documents being available from the Club website here.

(3) I understand that the OUMC does not tolerate harassment in any form as defined by the Oxford University harassment policy.

(4) Before each club activity, I will inform relevant members of the committee of any medication, allergies, injuries or other medical conditions that may affect the safety of others or my ability to participate fully in the sport on that day.

Section 3: Data Protection

Here at the OUMC we take the privacy of our members data seriously and will only use your personal information for club administration purposes (including supplying relevant information to Oxford University) and for communicating with you about your membership. Only the relevant committee roles will be able to access your details. More information can be found here.

As a BMC-affiliated club we will provide your name, contact details and date of birth to the BMC to administer your membership of the BMC including your combined liability insurance cover. The BMC will use your data to communicate with you about your membership. The BMC will contact you to invite you to create a 'Member Profile' which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings.
