Open Days at CTI Textual Studies

The Centre will hold two Open Days during the 1996/97 academic year. Advance booking is required. Early booking is advised since places will be limited to fifteen places.

The Open Days are designed to provide academics with hands-on experience and a chance to evaluate a range of applications either within a humanities computing area or for use within the teaching of a particular discipline. There will opportunities to test applications and resources using printed tutorials, and staff will be available to offer advice.

Time: Call in any time between 9.30am and 4.00pm.
Subject: Tools to aid text analysis (including WordCruncher for Windows, WordSmith Tools, MonoConc for Windows, concordance tools for Macintosh, TLTP Cal in the Humanities, OCR for scanning texts).

Monday 28th April 1997

Time: Call in any time between 9.30am and 4.00pm.
Subject: To be announced in Computers & Texts 13 (November 1996) and on cti-textual-studies@mailbase.ac.uk.
