English Poetry Plus

Description: English Poetry Plus on CD-ROM contains 5,000 of the most widely consulted poems in the English Language, together with lesser known works, from Chaucer to the nineteenth century. Each poem is accompanied by a brief biography of the author and a selection of poems have a simple glossary and an audio reading of the poem. There is also a gallery of paintings illustrating the seven chronological periods covered by the CD-ROM. The entire corpus can be searched by keyword, title, first line, topic, nationality, date, gender, genre, or some combination. Poems and biographies can be printed or saved to file encouraging the compilation of customized anthologies.

Requirements: PC running Windows 3.1+ with at least 8MB RAM, sound card, and CD-ROM drive.
