ProCite

Description: ProCite is a bibliographic reference management tool, which stores bibliographic information, notes, keywords, and full abstracts. Each record can be up to 32,000 characters in length, and there can be an unlimited number of records in every ProCite database. A variety of output styles are available, including ACS, ANSI, Chicago A & B, MLA. ProCite for Windows also includes 'NetCite', which allows the user to catalogue and idex Internet-based information; records can be output in HTML. A further utility, BookWhere?Pro, has full Z39.50 compatibility; it can be used (via the Internet) to get direct access to several hundred university library collections, worldwide. Multiple databases can be searched simultaneously, using a wide variety of parameters; selected records can then be downloaded and saved into a ProCite database.

Requirements: IBM-compatible PC: DOS version requires MS DOS 3.3 or higher,Windows version requires Windows 3.1 or above; Macintosh: requires System 6.0.2 or above.
