The Roman Baths

These baths were built during the Roman occupation of England between 100 B.C and 300 A.D. Hot springs naturally bubble out of the ground here, hence the name. It's high in minerals and considered to have curative effect. It was very elaborate co-ed spa with hot andcold baths and massage. The greenish color is due to alge forming from being exposed to the sun. The original roof was made of wood and is long gone. I
