Justin Chalker
5th year DPhil, New College

Justin Chalker received his B.S. in Chemistry and his B.A. in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. He carried out undergraduate research in the lab of Prof. Theodore Cohen where he contributed to the total synthesis of (-)-erythrodiene, the prostaglandin 15Δ-PGJ-2, and (-)-kainic acid. Currently, Justin is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, pursuing his D.Phil. under the direction of Prof. Benjamin G. Davis.
