Dr. Julia Koeppe studied for her BS (Chemistry) and BA (Spanish) at Hope College, Holland, Michigan USA before moving to the University of California, San Diego to study for a PhD under Professor Elizabeth Komives. After graduating in 2006, Julia moved to the University of Oxford to commence a post-doc position under Tony Watts in the Biochemistry department before moving to the BGD group in 2008. Her research involves making glycoconjugate vaccine candidates for HIV. Outside the lab, she likes baking.
