Tom Taylor
2nd year DPhil, St. Cross College

Tom Taylor was born and raised near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. He left for London to study for a MSci in Chemistry at Imperial College London and completed his Masters dissertation with Dr James A. Bull, investigating the synthesis of 2,4-substituted oxetanes. After completing his undergraduate studies in London, Tom moved to Oxford having been awarded a BBSRC DTG studentship to study for a DPhil. He works in the Prof Ben Davis’s lab, investigating antibody modifying enzymes and the use of these.

Outside of the lab, Tom is a fanatical F1 fan and also enjoys swimming, going to the gym and visits to the cinema.
