News. Sabbatical in academic year 2026–27 in Oxford Dept Mathematics

Research interests. selected: dynamics of partially molten rock & ice, tidal deformation & heating of planetary bodies, mechanics of rock & granular media, fluid-driven fracture, tectonic volcanism, ice sheets & shelves, something new.

Teaching. Oxford: vector calculus & continuum mechanics for geoscientists (notes), geodynamics (notes), time-series analysis (notes), physical thermodynamics (notes). AIMS: Fluid dynamics.
