Course Director

Grade 9 — £43,312 – £50,186 per annum, pro rata.

A Course Director is being sought for a new Doctoral Training Partnership in Environmental Research, to be co-hosted by the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division, together with the Social Sciences Division.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing the curriculum and training programme prior to the start of the course, and managing the day to day delivery of the programme.  He or she will have oversight of advertising and the admissions process.  The ideal candidate will have a student-centred focus and a commitment to innovative skills training.  There will be a strong pastoral element.

Essential to the post are experience of course design, supervision and teaching along with excellent organisational skills.  Some familiarity with digital learning techniques would be desirable.  Please see the job description for details. The appointment will be for a fixed term of 1 year at 50% fte in the first instance. The location of the DTP is yet to be confirmed but will be in the Science Area at Oxford.
