Course Director Appointed.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Elizabeth Jeffers as our new Course Director for the DTP.  Elizabeth is a James Martin Fellow in the Institute of Biodiversity, based at the Department of Zoology. She completed her D.Phil at Oxford in the School of Geography and the Environment, where she currently teaches an MSc course entitled "Ecosystem valuation".  Prior to that she also gained Masters degrees in Geography and Environmental Engineering, and Public Policy. She has held a number of environmental policy research positions.  

In her research she uses paleological data alongside mechanistic modelling techniques to reconstruct changes in ecosystem structure and function over time. She currently has a number of projects running where she is using these techniques to address pressing ecological questions.
