• In July/August 2022 I will give a talk on groupoidal realizability at HoTT/UF, co-located with FSCD, part of FLoC, in Haifa, Isreal.
• In February 2022 I gave a talk on groupoidal realizability at Logic and Higher Structures at CIRM - Marseille Luminy.
• In Michaelmas Term 2021 I will be tutoring Models of Computation.
• I have taken up the role of Project Coordinator on the Science for Seminaries project at Wycliffe Hall.
• I participated in the 2020 the Applied Category Theory Adjoint School, as part of the group working on the project A practical type theory for symmetric monoidal bicategories. A paper is in the works!

Short bio

I currently live in Oxford with my wife, Julia, who is a teacher of Classics (so we both like using Greek letters).

Before coming to Oxford, I spent two happy years across the Pond in Pittsburgh, PA completing an MS in Logic, Computation and Methodology at Carnegie Mellon (as well as supping Yuengling and cheering on the Pirates — closest thing I could find to cricket).

My undergraduate degree was an MSci in Physics and Philosophy from Bristol.

I was born in Hexham, in the North East of England (hence my love of Newcastle United FC), but grew up in the wonderful Cathedral City of Lichfield.

I like cricket, music (listening, playing and writing/arranging, especially jazz), cooking and walking.
