Purpose of Event
This event is being held as a culmination of the orienteering sessions that OUOC has recently run with SS Mary and John Primary School, and previously with other local primary schools. The event is open to all who are interested in orienteering or who have orienteered before, and there will be a range of courses available to suit different abilities.

Location and Time
The event will use the whole of both Headington Hill Park and South Park. Registration will be located at the north-west corner of Headington Hill Park, by the Marston Road entrance. (See map provided by Streetmap.) Registration will be open for starts between 10am and midday. It is expected that competitors will take between ten minutes and an hour to complete the courses, depending upon the course chosen, the competitor's fitness, and the competitor's propensity for getting lost!

Entry costs
There is a cost of £1 per competitor which covers the cost of map printing, park hire and the provision of electronic punching equipment.

The Courses
All competitors will be provided with an orienteering map of Headington Hill Park and South Park at a scale of 1:5000 and will be able to borrow an electronic punching card for the event. Results will be uploaded to this website as soon as possible after the event.

Travel to Event
Please walk, cycle or use public transport to reach our event if possible. For those who require it, there is free parking on Marston Road on Saturdays, by the entrance to Headington Hill Park where registration is located.

Health and Safety
OUOC has third party liability insurance for the event. This does not cover competitors, who take part in the event at their own risk.
Most of the courses will involve a crossing of Headington Road at marshalled points. All competitors should obey the marshals' instructions.
