Our Instructors

OUTKD has a number of qualified instructors, however most sessions are run by either Grandmaster Miller or Instructor Tomkinson.

Promoted to VIII Dan Senior Master on 06 July 2010 by Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha. As part of the 100 Year Anniversary of the birth of TKD Founder Gen. Choi Hong Hi, on 9th November 2018 GM Miller was promoted to the rank of Grandmaster in Pyongyang, DPR Korea, by ITF President Prof. Ri Yong Son.

Mr Tomkinson has been with OUTKD for over twenty years, training under then Mr. Miller from a white belt complete beginner all the way through to a 4th degree International Class Instructor. Along the way he has performed most club roles, including serving twice as President, and won multiple Blues awards competing for Oxford in the annual Varsity match against Cambridge before moving on to coach the team. He now has more than a decade of experience teaching Taekwon-Do and leads training on Thursdays and throughout the Vacation period.

Mr Tomkinson was awarded his Black Belt by Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha in March 2008 and was promoted to 4th Degree on 11th November 2018 by ITF President Prof. Ri Yong Son, in Pyongyang, DPR Korea.
