If you haven't already, please read the first part of the instructions on the demo page.

As I noted on the demo page, you should not talk to your opponent at all during your first game together; Just focus on your own game experience. Once the first game is over, however, the two players are encouraged to play again while looking at each other's screens and to compare notes regarding their respective experiences with the game. The nature of the game's mystery will naturally become apparent at this point.
