Saturday 13th June 1998

For the second year running disabled athletes were invited to competeat Poole coastal regatta at Poole park. Six fifteen minute racingslots were made available amongst the able bodied heats. In spiteof the continuous rain the organisation was spot on and all the rowersmade the best of the day with some close competitive rowing.

The disabled rowing athletes competing were:

TIM BARKER, LINDA BARKER AND RALPH MUCKELLS(SOUTH HANTS ADAPTIVE ROWING CLUB)
MARK HAZEL (PETERBOROUGH R.C.)
DEREK IRVINE (MILTON KEYNES R.C.)

The craft used were single and double MONDEGOS rigged for sculling.

Special thanks go to Marlow R.C. for letting us borrow theirdouble Mondego for the day.
