Miriam Batten and Gillian Lindsay are bringing indoor rowing to 190 11to 12 year olds at the school in Sonning Common, near Reading on Wednesdaymorning 24th February. David Luke, former International, teaches at the schooland is well qualified to provide the in-house coaching along with the advantageof being married to Miriam. Reading Rowing Club are providing the link andJunior Section coach Tom Cronin is looking forward to boating the kids whocatch the rowing bug. With a school roll of nearly 1000 pupils, Captain ofReading R C, Richard Hulme, is expecting a large increase in membership laterthis year.
