Tuesday 9th March 2010: "Climate change - an update"

In 2005 Dr Myles Allen delivered the final Cafe in a series of three investigating the then relatively undiscussed phenomenon of climate change. Five years on, he is back to give us an update on climate thinking. What do the contradictory reports in the press mean? How much influence does man have on climate change? What strategies would be best to combat it? What do we know that is new?

Myles is the head of the climate dynamics group in the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics section of Oxford University. He has served on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
