Dr Rachel Quarrell
Tuesday 14th December 2010: Advertising and pseudoscience
At a time of the year when we are being deluged by advertisements, Oxford Cafe Scientifique host Dr Rachel Quarrell attempts to take on the pseudoscience of TV and radio adverts, and to dissect fact from fiction.
From cosmetics to nutrition, we are bombarded with scientific-sounding words and phrases designed to encourage us to buy new products. Which ones have any basis in reality?
Come along and join us at 7:30pm in Blackwells Main Bookshop, Broad Street, Oxford.
