![]() | A few facts about the LeaIt was founded in Oct 1980 by the amalgamation of the last five clubs rowing from the boathouse, these were Stewart Ladies, Crowland, Gladstone Warwick, City Orient and Britannia. There has been rowing at the site since the early 19th century.Since 1980 the club has won 6 Henley Medals and countless National Championship Gold Medals, and we have produced international Athletes in all categories - men, women, junior and lightweight. We have several local schools using our facilities and are hosts to The Royal London and St Bartholemew's B.C. We offer high level coaching and equipment for those who wish to succeed and we also cater for recreational rowers and complete novices. The club has a large fleet of boats including 5 newly purchased this season. We cater for all levels of rowing having strong veteran and junior squads as well as senior men and women. Training facilities consist of a good selection of gym equipment for strength and circuit weights and many Concept II ergo`s. There is also a bar and lounge as well as changing rooms and showers. |
