This talk will give an overview of the German-Dutch Windtunnels organisation and its requirements for graphical presentation. This includes the presentation of large amounts of measured data both in real-time and off-line for each of our different wind-tunnels.
We will explain why we have chosen Gsharp as a solution for our low-speed facilities and detail the benefits (and drawbacks) of this decision. We will show how the project has stretched Gsharp to (and beyond!) its limits including the real-time updating of multiple screens, integration with in-house FORTRAN code and the design of many purpose built dialogues.
We finish by describing the problems of software and hardware harmonisation in a multi-site, and ever expanding, organisation and how we have (and have not) overcome them.
