Isis is set for sculls invasion

Rowing
CITY of Oxford's Paul Azzopardi is something of a glutton for punishment, writes Mike Rosewell.
Having barely recovered from organizing the two-day Oxford City Royal Regatta, he is at it again tomorrow with the Isis Sculls, raced upstream over the Isis stretch of the River Thames.
The event was started last year, when 80 entries were received, but the number has risen this year to 118.
The event will be run in six divisions racing at hourly intervals between 11am and 4pm on the same course as used for the Oxford Bumps Races..
City of Oxford members make up the bulk of the entry, with 40 boats in a flotilla that includes single sculls, double sculls and quads.
Other good local entries have been received from St Edward's School and The Dragon, with 15 and 12 boats respectively.
Falcon have four entries and there is a smattering from Oxford Colleges.
