City dominate at Isis Sculls

Rowing
BEAUTIFUL weather and a slight tail wind to speed up the times saw the Isis Sculls produce a wonderful day for the locals involved last Saturday, writes Mike Rosewell.
Seven Oxfordshire clubs shared 26 wins between them - the lion's share going to the host club City of Oxford.
City Bagged 15 division wins across the quad, double and scull classes, while their women's senior 3 quad of Amy Jackson, Christine Aherne, Claire Sherman and Ailsa Thom were the fastest boat over the course.
Dragon School mopped up 5 wins in the junior 13 classes and younger, while St Edward's School won the men's and women's junior 18 single divisions.
A double on the day was achieved by University College, while Falcon, Brasenose and Magdalen College School also had a win apiece.
Meanwhile, the likes of Radley, St Edward's, Abingdon and Headington received some good news last weekend when it was announced that junior 14 events will be reintroduced to the National Schools Regatta next May.
The competition is being stretched from two to three days, meaning that junior 14 racing - scratched some five years ago because of a surge in overall entries - is back.
