What's new pussy cat?

• A cookie (instead of IP address) means you can easily recall your settings
• Smileys, easier bold and italics (just highlight text and click the button).
• Links work as before, or just paste the URL and it autocaptions

What can't I do

• Unregister
• Change password
• Have two accounts with the same User Name (same Screen Name is fine)
• Post HTML other than bold and italic

Next comes the possible modes of posting/registering
1. Unregistered : you enter a Name and choose a Colour+Font. The style of your post cannot be changed at a later date.
2. Anonymous : If you enter no name you will appear in Black/Serif.
3. Registered : You type your username (or it gets recalled by the cookie) and you colour and font settings are automatically used - no need to choose them from the boxes again.

Links can be added by typing/pasting the address (including http:// bit) and following it with a single space followed by [ and ] brackets enclosing the link caption, eg:

http://users.ox.ac.uk/~climbing/chat/chat.html [Chat Instructions] produces Chat Instructions.
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~climbing/chat/chat.html produces http://users.ox.ac.uk/~climbing/chat/iffley/chat.html.

There must be no punctuation in the link caption, for the time being.
