Action on Missing Cats

Our Mission

This is NOT a lost and found cat register. But if you have lost or found a cat you might go to Cat Chat's website. This has an excellent list of practical suggestions, and links to many national and regional lost and found registers.

The UK National Missing Pet Register provides a range of services for pet owners who can search our comprehensive UK missing pets and lost pets register database.

If your cat has been missing for a long time – more than six months – or if you found a cat a long time ago and have been unable to locate its owner, check out My Moggy's sister site Long Lost Cats.

See also the National conversation on our site.

Mission statement:

- To promote microchipping, both as part of responsible cat ownership and to help safeguard against theft and loss

- To get a national conversation started on a sensible approach to lost and found pet registers

- To campaign in an active and non-confrontational way to remove some of the barriers that interfere with missing cats being reunited with their owners and in particular those barriers which interfere with microchips playing their role in so doing.
