AI and the Future of News

I lead the research on the AI and the Future of News project at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University of Oxford.

The research strand of the project expands the empirical research we do both on how news media use AI, how AI is used on news, and how the public thinks about AI and news. In the rest of the project, we will continue to do original reporting on issues around AI and news; and we will bring computer scientists from the University of Oxford to discussions around AI and the future of news.

The project is supported by seed funding from Reuters for the first few months as we expand our work on AI, and with the Institute’s core funding from the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
