Kicking
Korean martial arts are generally reknowned for the wide range of kicks
they utilize, and SulKiDo is no exception to this. Beginners start with
the three fundamental kicks (front, roundhouse and side)
and once these have been assimilated they are rapidly introduced to
more demanding
(including the hook, crescent, axe, back and wheel kicks)
techniques.

Initially kicks are taught from a static position (mainly using the
rear leg) however these are soon extended to include
stepping variants and combinations.
Eventually these culminate in jumping kicks.
