The
Martial Arts Development Commission,
founded jointly by the Sports Council and the police to regulate
standards of competency and safety in British martial arts.
The UKSF
was a founder member of MADEC and
Oxford SulKiDo is fully affiliated to it.
The primary aims of the organization are:
To exercise a control function over the martial arts
To discourage abuses and provide a safeguard for the public
To hold a register of qualified and competent instructors
To issue and record licences and certificates of proficiency so that
bona fide exponents can be easily identified
