Collaborative storytelling discussion, Tentacular Vikings
takes a theme and runs with it as we all work together to write a story (Rory).
Michaelmas term's epic was Boom Sticks,
and previous stories have involved humanity's role in a proxy war between planetary gods,
the St Giles' Fair's role in keeping freshers from disappearing into parallel dimensions,
and finally an explanation for why we keep crashing on that dratted desert planet.
Oh yes, and tentacular Vikings. |
| 8 May | Sunday | 3rd Week | St Cross | Discussion | Definitions of SF/Fantasy (Tim). It is surprisingly difficult to define what we mean by Speculative Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other subgenres. Everyone seems to have their own ideas, none compatible with what authors and booksellers seem to think. On Sunday we will resolve this existential question for OUSFG, once and for all, or perish in the attempt. |
