Oxford-Princeton graduate exchanges
The research partnership in philosophy of physics is at present made up of philosophers, not physicists. The graduate exchange involves graduate students admitted to a research degree in philosophy.
It is an exchange, because on average the scheme will achieve equal numbers of transfers in each direction, with respect to each college involved. Therefore a Princeton graduate coming to Oxford can expect to go to the college of the last Oxford graduate to be a visitor to Princeton. But numbers are small and the arrangements are flexible.
The principles of the scheme:
- Oxford D.Phil students in philosophy of physics are encouraged to spend a term in Princeton.
- No additional fees are payable.
- Accommodation will be arranged for you by Princeton University.
- You have all of the rights and privileges of a full-time enrolled graduate student;
- You have all of the obligations of a full-time enrolled graduate student, including participation in all required orientation programs.
