As a systematic and historical theologian I am fascinated by delving into the thoughts and mindscapes of texts from the Christian tradition. My particular interest is to understand how thinkers from the past tried to find innovative ways to process issues and questions of their times. But in my work, this is not an end in itself. The sound historical understanding aims at the present age: our questions, issues, challenges, and the will and need to understand the world we live in. My endeavour lies in discovering new perspectives on contemporary issues by employing the innovative potential of the tradition.
