Domestic Birds

Our domestic birds are some of the most familiar animals in the zoo, and live on the Nature Reserve.

Please feel free to feed them any left-over bread or cakes that you may have - alternatively, small bags of food suitable for the swans, ducks and Canada geese are available from the Shop.

The photo opposite shows our domestic mute swans who are very tame. They will be happy to pose for your pictures, but please don't approach them too closely when they have cygnets. The dabbling ducks and Canada geese are also very friendly, but please respect these animals and keep your distance. Please do not allow your children to touch the animals!
