Jitka Dadova
Postdoc

Dr. Jitka Dadova completed her undergraduate studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2011. She was working in Dr. Radek Cibulka’s group developing novel methods for chemoselective photooxidation mediated by flavins. As a master student, she spent half a year as an Erasmus Fellow with Prof. Burkhard König at the University of Regensburg, Germany. In 2015, she received Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic under the supervision of Prof. Michal Hocek. The main goal of her Ph.D. study was design and enzymatic synthesis of base-modified DNA suitable for cross-linking with natural DNA binding proteins. She has been working as a postdoctoral research assistant in the Ben Davis Group since December 2015. In April 2016, she started a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. She is currently investigating biological role of post-translational modifications using site-specific reactions on proteins.email: Jitka.Dadova@chem.ox.ac.uk.
