What about health problems ?

As with any martial art, an absolute guarantee of safety is impossible to give. However we take strenuous efforts to make training with SulKiDo as safe as possible given the requirement that members must also acquire solid practical skills. In addition, by being a non-competitive style, we avoid the frequent injuries that occur fighting for points and prizes.

Every session begins with thorough warm-up and stretching exercises which we consider an integral part of safe training. So if you're coming along for the first time, please be prompt as it isn't possible to take part in a session without doing this preparation. There are also a few basic guidelines which it would be worth reading before coming along.

Note that club policy is to screen all new members for medical problems and/or a history of violence, and the club reserves the right to decline to train anyone who is felt to be a danger either to themselves or other people. Formal information related to club policy and procedures can be downloaded from our documents repository.
