Professional training at OUCS
Oxford University Computing Services main purpose is to develop, operate and support the primary computing infrastructure and IT services for employees, academics and students at the University of Oxford's world class institutions.
Based in the centre of Oxford, OUCS maintains state-of-the-art lecture rooms and equipment, ideal for corporate training sessions.
As a centre of excellence and best practice in computing, OUCS offers selected courses and services to organisations and businesses requiring high quality training.
How does OUCS provide Advanced ECDL training?
OUCS offers each Advanced ECDL module as a combination of individual study and intensive single training/testing days.
Course students receive an ECDL Foundation approved courseware book four weeks before the intensive training/testing day. They work through this material, which includes practical examples using actual computer files, to prepare for the training/testing day.
The training/testing day provides students with the opportunity to discuss any issues with our specialist trainers. The day includes two practice papers, each followed by marking sessions in which students and trainers focus on any areas of concern which may arise. The day concludes with the actual Advanced ECDL test paper.
There is a regular schedule of training/testing days at our Oxford training facility and we are happy to hold these at your own offices by prior arrangement.
The cost of training includes British Computer Society registration, all course material, training/testing day and lunch (when hosted at OUCS).
