10 gup : white

Everyone begins SulKiDo at 10-gup as a white belt. To advance to the next level, members must demonstrate proficiency in the following:

yea eue etiquette, i.e. behaviour, correct chaliot, chunbi, tora so etc.
jasestances: front, horse
ki bon hyung first basic hard form (10 moves)
breakfalls back (with roll), side and twist
jilugiformal punching
jok sool 1-6 basic kicks 1-6, straight-leg swing, outward crescent, inward crescent, front, side, roundhouse
jilugi 1-4 basic punches 1-4 : jab, cross, upper-cut, hook
mak giblocking, scoop (vs. front/side kick), forearm (vs. high/low roundhouse) and push-down (vs. side kick)
pal kupelbow break
*count to 10 in Korean: hana, dool...

Note that only members at the 9 gup level (and above) are allowed to do free sparring.

In addition to the listed syllabus, everyone is expected to develop understanding of safe training practices, including knowing how to warm-up and stretch at the beginning of each session. They will also have become familiar with the following basic phrases
