9 gup : yellow tag

Members at the 9 gup level must be proficient in the following techniques to advance to 8 gup (deputy yellow).

jok sool basic kicks 7-11, hook, twisting (a.k.a. reverse roundhouse), knee, roundhouse-knee, instep
ki bon hyung6 basic hard forms (10 moves each)
ki cho jaki5 breathing exercises
nak bop 5 breakfall positions from standing or crouching: back roll, side, twisting, front, forward roll

At the 9 gup level members are also introduced to the rudiments of controlled free sparring. By this time members should have familiar with the Korean terminology related to the cardinal numbers (hana, dool, set...) and the phrases used to describe forms:
