Coming to Oxford

...as a visiting graduate student

If you are undertaking a postgraduate degree at another university you may come to Oxford as a Graduate Visiting Student. However, University and College fees are payable, and admission is competitive. Under this programme you will receive college and university supervision just as do Oxford graduate students for the duration of your stay. Your college will also arrange for accommodation. For details you should contact the Visiting Students Advisor on (0)1865-270211; the closing date for applications is February 1 for visits in the following academic year.

Visitors from other universities working on foundations of physics and philosophy of physics are welcome to visit Oxford on an informal basis and to attend graduate classes and research seminars in these areas. However, you will not have any university or college affiliation, nor will you be supervised in your research. If you contact a member of the philosophy of physics group in advance of your visit we will provide what assistance we can with library and computing facilities.
